The Idea
Scientific Research is one of the most prominent pillars of advancement, and it has been recently noticed that many youth and young researchers are writing valuable essays and research papers to publish them on blogs and forums on the internet. Perhaps these young researchers do not have the sufficient time to pursue academic researches and earn formal degrees, but they nevertheless have the skills for research and data mining.
A question was raised: how such researchers could be encouraged to produce organized researches that can make use of their talents and at the same time benefit others. Thus, we thought of an initiative to encourage Micro-Researches (like Micro-Enterprises) in the area of specialization of our website; that is Egyptology/ Coptology, by offering 50$ as a monthly award that will go to the best research for the month, and publishing it on our website.

البحث العلمي من أهم ركائز التقدم، وقد لوحظ في الفترة الأخيرة وجود الكثير من الشباب وصغار الباحثين، الذين يقومون بكتابة مقالات وأوراق بحثية قيمة ونشرها على المنتديات والمدونات على الانترنت. ربما لا يملك هؤلاء الباحثين الوقت الكافي للقيام بأبحاث أكاديمية رسمية والحصول على درجات علمية، ولكنهم رغم ذلك يمتلكون ملكات البحث والإطلاع.
فكان السؤال: كيف يمكن تشجيع مثل هؤلاء الباحثين على إنتاج أبحاث منظمة يمكن أن تستوعب طاقتهم وفى نفس الوقت يستفيد منها الآخرين؟ من هنا فكرنا في مبادرة لتشجيع الأبحاث الصغيرة (على غرار المشروعات الصغيرة) في مجال تخصص الموقع - القبطيات/ المصريات- وذلك بتقديم 50$ كجائزة شهرية لأفضل بحث، ونشره على الموقع.
Objective of the Researches
We have also observed that there is always a knowledge gap between the specialized academic society and the regular reader. Many references and academic researches are unknown, unavailable and sometimes difficult to understand to non-specialists. But there is a middle class of educated, cultured and conscious young people, who can act as a mediator between specialists and non-specialists.
Therefore, the primary objective of the researches presented here should be addressing the regular, non-specialized reader, in a simple, sequential style, relying heavily on graphics, pictures and figures whenever possible.
الهدف من الأبحاث
لاحظنا أيضاً أن هناك دائماً فجوة معرفية بين المجتمع الأكاديمي المتخصص والقارئ العادي، فكثير من المراجع والأبحاث المتخصصة غير معروفة أو غير متاحة وأحياناً صعبة الفهم على غير المتخصصين. لكن هناك طبقة وسطى من الشباب المتعلم، المثقف، الواعي الذي يمكنه أن يكون أداة الربط بين المتخصصين وغير المتخصصين.
على ذلك، يجب أن يكون الهدف الأساسي من الأبحاث المقدمة هنا هو خاطبة المتلقي العادي الغير متخصص، بأسلوب بسيط متسلسل مع الاعتماد بكثرة على الرسومات والصور والأشكال التوضيحية كلما أمكن.
